2012 Children’s fashion trends

Each new year brings new fashion trends, with exciting and fabulous things hitting the catwalks of the world.  Children’s fashion is no exception, with some really stunners on offer this year.

The focus this year for girls is on gentle, soft colours, recycled cottons and natural fabrics, with a bit of sparkle, lace and ribbon.  H&M have kept the classic bright pink, too.  My favourites have hints of the romantic, bohemian, floaty and ethereal.   What is more gorgeous that seeing a pretty wee dot in something girly and gorgeous?

Boys’ fashion stays much the same with narrow jeans and smart jumpers for cooler days, and shorts and tees for those sunny days we are all hoping to see!  Both looks team up with neutral coloured sweat tops – and all looks are  practical but smart.

Of course, there are also fab creations at mooandflo, which are a lot more affordable and local for those of us in NZ.  But whatever your children wear this year, so long as they are wearing it with a smile, it’ll look marvellous.
